What Makes Mountain View Special?

Mountain View has been providing early education to the Boulder community for over 50 years. Our daily operations are well established, allowing for more opportunities to give children individual attention and tailor our programming to their needs.

Mountain View strives to be a community resource, and to support families with their individual needs. We will work with you to develop a schedule that works for your family! In addition to many "Off-Day Camps", we also offer 6 weeks of Summer Play with special themed weeks, and outdoor fun.

Mountain View has never turned away a family in financial need. We offer scholarships through private funding, and as a non-profit we maintain an affordable tuition schedule.

Mountain View has developed a wonderful sense of community. We strive to ensure every parent and student feels included and welcome! Our faculty is warm and gentle, a perfect transition from home to school.

Mountain View teachers have an average tenure of 9 years. Teachers genuinely enjoy friendships with one another, and share a passion for nurturing children in the early years.

Mountain View offers the option of an extra year of preschool before Kindergarten. Our KReady program is designed for children who have birthdays close to the cutoff date to enter Kindergarten. Please read "The Gift of an Extra Year" for more information!

Mountain View has found a distinct balance between play and structure. Each day is planned around a quality piece of children's literature. Daily lesson plans include opportunities for children to achieve in all areas: literacy, art, math, science, fine and gross motor skills, and social-emotional development. We allow children to follow their interests during free play, and join as a group for teacher-led segments of class time. Our lessons include frequent practice with handwriting and letter recognition, and each week our classes receive visits from music and art specialists.

Mountain View is pleased to offer enrichment activities on-site as after-school activities. Electives include soccer, art, Spanish, and dance!

Mountain View hosts events that are fun for the whole family! These events include:

Dad's Night, Mom's Night Out, Home Visits, a Polar Express holiday event, Holiday Programs featuring the MVP kids, and the Beer, Boots, and BBQ Annual Fundraiser!

Our Pre-K and KReady classes enjoy special class hikes, trips to NCAR, Growing Gardens, CU Planetarium, and Boulder Dinner Theatre!

All of our classes receive visits at our school from Police and Fire Station community helpers, a visit from the Butterfly Pavilion, Growing Gardens, and the Birds of Prey Foundation!

And much, much more!
