Amy Cavanaugh Chally
Amy received her Bachelor’s degree in Education Psychology/concentration-early childhood, from the University of Iowa. She stood as an assistant director and teacher for a large childcare/preschool program in Iowa for 8 years. After relocating to Colorado, she enjoyed a successful career in financial services. While raising her two daughters, both of whom attended Mt.View Preschool, she was inspired to return to her career of choice, early childhood education. She began teaching at Mt.View in 2011, and began as Director in 2014. She is passionate about intentional play based learning and igniting children’s self-esteem while providing a safe and positive early learning experience. Amy holds her Director Credentials for Early Childhood Education and is Colorado Lead Teacher Licensed. She is Pyramid Plus Approach trained, has completed the Parenting Safe Child program, holds her Medication Administration Certificate, is a member of NAEYC and is currently attending the Harvard Graduate School of Education for Early Learning and Development Series. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, camping, snowboarding and whitewater boating.
Anita received undergraduate and graduate degrees in education in Germany. Her teaching career began in 1981, and she came to Mt.View in 1998 where she has held both lead and assistant teaching positions. Her two sons attended preschool at Mt.View, which inspired her to return to early childhood education. Anita finds Mt.View to be a special place with warm, loving, caring, and nurturing teachers. She loves being with young children and their families. Anita is Colorado Lead Teacher Certified, Pyramid Plus Approach trained, and holds her Medication Administration Certification. Anita enjoys traveling to Europe with her husband and their sons.

Tara is originally from central Illinois where she obtained her Bachelors in Child Development from the University of Illinois. She found her love for early childhood education during her junior year when she began working for the University of Illinois Child Development Lab. Upon graduating, she worked as a lead Pre-K teacher until she moved to Boulder in January of 2016. Tara began working for Mt. View immediately after moving to Boulder and has found her “forever home”. Tara is Pyramid Plus Approach trained and Medication Administration certified. Tara is also the Lead Teacher and coordinator for Mt.View’s Summer Play and Off Day Programs. She spends most of her weekends outdoors - mostly in the mountains - whether it be skiing, hiking, climbing, or biking.
Anshu received her Bachelor of Arts in India. She also attended Front Range Community College to complete the coursework to become Colorado Lead Teacher qualified. Anshu is the proud mother of two beautiful daughters and while raising her children she enjoyed being an active classroom volunteer at their schools. Anshu and her family moved to Colorado many years ago from Meerut, U.P. India. She has over two decades of early childhood education experience and has been a wonderful addition to the Mt. View Family since she joined us in 2017. Anshu is Pyramid Plus Approach trained.
Lead Teacher, 2/3's
Lynn began teaching at Mt.View in 2009. She is a graduate from California Polytech State University and has completed essential college coursework in early childhood education. She began teaching preschool in 1991 and worked as a shadow-aid for special needs children, giving her valuable experience to bring to Mt.View. Lynn is Medication Administration Certfied. Outside of school, Lynn loves to spend time with her daughters and husband. They enjoy traveling, hiking, gardening, and skiing.
Kristina began working at Mt.View in 2015, and has worked in both the KReady and PreK programs. She holds her essential early childhood credentials through the University of Central Florida and is Lead Teacher Certified. Upon moving to Colorado, Kristina taught for the Cherry Creek School District as a Kindergarten Enrichment teacher. Kristina believes that Mt.View is a magical school, full of wonder, love, and curiosity. Kristina is Pyrmaid Plus Approach trained. Kristina has two sons, both of whom attend Mt.View, and she and her husband enjoy traveling, music, and gardening.
Shawnette is a graduate of Berthoud High School and a native Coloradoan. She lived in Kentucky for 10 years where she started working with children as a teacher assistant with children ages 3-5. She began earning her early childhood education certifications and would like to one day continue her studies. Shawnette joined Mt.View in 2016 and she isis excited to be a part of helping children to grow and prosper. Shawnette is Pyramid Plus Approach trained. Shawnette has one daughter at CSU, and a son in high school. She loves to read, and garden. One day she would love to travel more and see the world.
Amy received her Bachelor’s Degree in Family Studies from San Francisco State University. She and her family relocated to Boulder from Coronado, California in 2016 at which time she joined the team at Mt.View. Amy is excited to continue her successful early childhood teaching career which she began in California with Mt.View. Amy believes that positive early childhood experiences can make an impact on children’s lives. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her husband and children. Amy is Medication Administration Certified.
Clancy originally came to Mt.View as a student. As a Mt. View graduate, she naturally has a love for Mt.View and it’s caring environment. Clancy is a graduate of Fairview High School and has completed coursework through CU Boulder. Clancy returned to Mt.View in 2018 as a volunteer, and we are happy to have her join our team this year. Clancy is Pyramid Plus Approach trained.
